I see these on the Agastache all the time. They are very furry.

CLOSED: What kind of bee?
Altho' I'll 'go out on a limb' to say it's most likely one of the Bumble Bees!
And to state further, that this particular fella .. bears some similarity, under Genus: Bombus (& seems there's no indication of a definite ID on this one either) > http://bugguide.net/node/view/63991 . . . but, that's as far as this ol dame'll go .. with these bee-bug/vermin .. AndyP. (heehee)
The Bug Guide site will allow you to enter such ('specific' descriptives), such as, 'yellow bee' .. for your search. Wellllll, such does help, ya know! .. LOL
Here ya go > http://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=yellow+bee&search=Search
I'll keep my spyballs peeled for anything that happens to jump off another page at me, tho' .. (heh, heh)

Thanks, Magpye, I searched that site for a long time and didn't find that pic.
So, a sub-specie of the Bumble bee. Bumbus.
I'm lousy at searches, lol.
