Should I plant real lilies with daylilies?

Can I plant lilies in between my daylilies, or will they compete with each other? Thanks for any advice!

I do. Just keep in mind that daylilies tend to spread and you will need to divide every few years.

Thought daylilies can give lilies viruses?

Not that I know of. Tulips might do that, or so I have heard.

Dunno. Thought it was DL and tulips, but I can be wrong.. Being a newbie and all.
