I posted on the bug ID forum http://davesgarden.com/forums/p.php?pid=3759947 but haven't rec'd any responses. I think they are Agapostemon sp. found here http://www.dbc.uci.edu/~pjbryant/biodiv/hymenopt/Agapostemon3.htm but not sure until I see them again.
They are really beautiful. Lots of technical detail on the net, but I haven't found any personal experience comments on them.
Anyone have metallic green bees?
I have seen this bug before in Fontana, CA few years back...
