CLOSED: Which is this white little bug?

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

This eats up leaves of geranium, daisies, cosmos.. choosy. They are having hard shells and can fly. Some are tinted in a very light green tinge.

Bumping this up...I am curious, too!

Do you also have it in your yard? The white outer cover is hard. Some beetle? This one is about 3-4mm in length.

"Myllocerus undatus is superficially similar to a weevil native to Florida, Artipus floridanus."

from this site: http://www.pestalert.org/viewArchPestAlert.cfm?rid=51

Here's the white weevil in Florida mentioned on that link:

I don't know what it is, just looking around

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

It does look like a weevil, you're right. No, Dinu, I don't have these in my yard. It was just such an interesting one, I wanted to know...Just sheer curiosity? No, not me! ;)

Okay, GW. Who wants pests? ;-)

Definitely a broad-nosed/short-snouted weevil (subfamily Entiminae); most species are leaf feeders as adults (usually at leaf margins) and root feeders as larvae.
