This grasshopper is about 6 or 7 inches long - no I'm not kidding. I photgraphed it on our porch on Taboga Island in the Bay of Panama. We've seen much bigger specimens before but never had a camera handy.

Yep - that's it - wow you guys are GOOD! I can't thank you enough - this is fast becoming my favorite site on the web - I have nothing to give - since I am clueless about plants and bugs - I just photograph them. I am off to subscribe - it is the least I can do since all I do is ask for help - maybe one day I will be able to give back.
