Sweet.... found in the wild?

Ellijay, GA(Zone 7a)

...these are wild plants growing along one of the tributaries(Toccoa River) of the Tennesse River system....and a large population for a lowland site. In the southern mountains L. superbum is usually associated with northern exposure at high elevations.
The section of Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina should have some great viewing within 2-3 weeks

Saint Bonifacius, MN(Zone 4a)

Another cool find. And I assume that you turned up the flower for the photo, and the aspect is naturally downfacing like the normal surperbums?

Curious that there are no spots. Just like most yellow Candy lilies (xPardancanda norisii).

Your assumption is correct and I think the lack of spots is probably the more significant trait. I'm going to enclose this specimen with a wire cage and relocate at a later date.
