Is this little guy a friend or a foe? I found him on a Hibiscus and he's extremely shy - very aware I was watching him - kept trying to hide.

Yep. DG has done it again!

Thanks for the link claypa it really helped. I also found this one http://www.whatsthatbug.com/index.html - Look for the Assassin threads on the left hand side of the site.

I've learned these guys (some or all, not sure) are beneficial to the garden however they may consume a desireable garden inhabitant as well.
