I really like those dark red ones! This one is almost black in the middle. That plant in front of it is a daylily seedling. Everybody sure has some great lilies this year!

No, I purchased it as "Starburst" tango from Von Bourgondien. Another one of those non-registered names but I was a sucker for it's looks and it is correct to their description.
Here is 'San Souci' and I think I planted 10 of them last fall. I don't know if you can see from the pix and maroon colored clematis behind it. They are in peek bloom right now and I am enjoying the look a lot.
