Found this amonst my Milkweed clinging to a volunteer Maple sapling.. It is over 3 inches long. My son said it was a Seventeen Year Cicada. I just want to confirm or correct.. for my files and for Bug Files.

It is a Cicada, but not the Seventeen Year Cicada. It is the Bush Cicada Tibicen dorsata: http://bugguide.net/node/view/20416/bgpage
