Andy ..

Not sure, as to which .. but see about either of these:
The Spring Fishfly (Chauliodes rastricornis) > http://bugguide.net/node/view/3612
and the Summer Fishfly (Chauliodes pectinicornis) > http://bugguide.net/node/view/77055

* And, for all other 'fishfly' qualifiers, here > http://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=Fishfly&search=Search .. (heehee)

BTW .. There's definitely some images of these guys/gals, needed in the DG BugFiles!!

Thanks a lot, Magpye. Fishfly is good enough for me but we need further clarification to submit to BugFiles. I've looked at all your links and more, without knowing the difference between one or the other.
Now I cal label the pics in my files. Thanks
If we can determine which one it is, I'll submit it.
A closer look.

Ohh, Andy ..

Sure can't hep ya any further, I'm afraid.
There's much less to expect from my eyesight at certain times, these days.

Right now, I may as well be attempting to determine the differences between ice cubes - for they all
look the same! .. LOL ..

Don't they all have those big scary looking mandibles? I bet we can find the genus for this critter, at least

I am pretty sure that this is a female Summer Fishfly (Chauliodes pectinicornis): http://bugguide.net/node/view/22238/bgimage

The antennae are the feature that counts. TheDobsonflies antennae are beaded rather than pectinate.
The male has more feathery antennae and the female of the Spring Fishfly (Chauliodes rastricornis) has simple antennae.

I submitted it to BugGuide for confirmation as a female Summer Fishfly.
Thanks everyone. I'll keep you posted.

I have not heard any complaints from GugGuide so it must be a Summer Fishfly.
I posted the collage pic in BugFiles, thanks for setting up the file, Kennedy.
