Sorry, it looks dead. Plant another this fall/spring or whenever it is best to plant trees in your part of the country. Make sure to keep the tree well watered during its first two years after planting.

Looks that way to me too. I guess the best time to plant trees is in the fall for my hot and humid climate. Thank you for replying..

For people in the deep south, it's definitely best to plant trees in late fall. You'd be surprised how much roots grow during the winter months.
