Mainiac how are the beetles this year?

Poland, ME

The beetles are medium this year. I haven't been quite as diligent with spraying. A few got ahead of me. But I have seen them worse!

I don't have much to show at this point ~ the orientals have absolutely roasted this last week with the high temps. We seem to be between the storms systems and haven't gotten a drop for a long time.

A couple of nice surprises tho ~ a late blooming stem of Royal Sunset opened and this little guy just popped a couple days ago. Planted by the previous owner so I don't know what it is.

Mainiac, your lilies never cease to amaze me. :) Very lovely!
Moby, your little guys may be an unknown, but he's a cutie. ;)

I was out wandering about and I have a few more that opened. Most of these do not have names, the only part I know is that the un-named ones are orientals...

I think this is Stargazer (isn't that terrible, I should know Stargazer, but I don't trust myself at trying to figure out who they are anymore..)

This is supposed to be Peau Douce

I have no idea who this is, except that it's been in this garden probably since 2000...

Don't know who this is either, it was growing in with what I think were the Stargazers...

Now, this one I have marked. I got it from Buggycrazy last fall. It's one of her Queen Strain...

This is marked Tango Halloween.. It's the first flower open and it's not shaped the best...

This one is marked Tom Pouce... or is it Pounce???

This is marked White Stargazer...

This is supposed to be London..

And this isn't a lily, but it's sure is a weird coneflower.... ;) If anyone knows the names of my old Oriental Lilies that I can't remember the names of, please let me know... :) Thanks!

Pouce! lol

Do you, by any chance, have Purple Sensation? Looks like your http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=3720908

All the lilies are lovely ~ but Ticker, I think your coneflower wants you to kiss it. And thanks, I like my little white surprise lily too, it's just that I'm neurotic about names.

Here's a non-lily-fun-pic; a double-decker Monarda

I love them all, especially Peau Douce.

Just got back from the parents and my yard is awash with lily fragrance, mmmmmmmmmm.
I was surprised to see Schehz blooming already.
Been quite dry here. Rained a couple days ago for a tiny bit, but other than that nothin for 2 or 3 weeks+. I rain the hose in one of the cracks in the ground and it just kept swallowing it up.

Mainiac - it is L. pardalinum I think. Mine just bloomed last night. Will try to get a picture out...

Jmorth, your lilies are wonderful. Now that's a Stargazer... I have no idea what mine are. I think that they were supposed to be Stargazers, but I'm sure they came from a big box store somewhere, so who knows what they are.

Moby, yes, I have one labeled Purple Sensation, but I doubt that is who it really is either. Most of the last un-named lilies I posted have been in that bed since it was created in 2000 and the tags are long gone.

Isn't that coneflower wild? It just makes me laugh every time I see it. That double decker Monarda is neat. I love Monarda. :)

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Jmorth, lovely yellow NOID there, I like the wavy petals. And isn't it amazing how beautiful 'Stargazer' is year after year? It's one of those lilies that glows in the garden. Wonderful lilies!
Cool monarda and conehead.
