Emma's Lady Laura

Mesilla Park, NM

Finally was able to get this one, it has bloomed a couple of times, but it blooms earlier than the rest, so it is almost done with by the time I get there.. it also has a pod forming so it must have bloomed quite some time ago too.. it is beautiful.

I don't know too much about parentage so I'll leave that up to her to say, I'll just mess it up.

Well . . .
Can't have a Lady Laura without a President Bush!
Actually, I wanted to name PB after Ron, but he told me he would come to Jacksonville and pull up my vines *ha*. . .

On Lady Laura . . .
Purples and Blues usually mess with you sometimes on how the photos turn out. Your blooms look Lavender with a lot of Blue tinting ? ? ?

I REALLY like your blooms on this Antoinette.

The MG that I grew last year and the year before that I named Lady Laura were Dark Blues. No clue what the parents are on this one either. It Bloomed and Bloomed AND Bloomed all last year. Bloomed right up until our first frost. Also a very agressive climber and seemed to have longer than normal vines because of the distance they traveled. Some of the blooms did have single streaks of Purple-Lavender and some had a lighter Blue single Streak. Some also had very slight blizzard type streaks.

I'm curious how some of the others turn out from other seeds. I did plant some, but no blooms yet.

Here is a photo from one of last years blooms.
Again, this looks like a Dark Purple, BUT, It is a Dark Blue

Gourd - what a lovely bloom. The color is so soft. And Emma, yours from last year looks like blue suede. Awesome!
