Upon moving to the high desert of north-central Nevada where my backyard is a cirque of sandstone cliffs and hence my soil is, well, sand, I was a beginner gardener. I planted three weigela, two 'Minuet' and one 'Pink Poppet'. The 'Pink Poppet' is doing relatively well in it's extremely well-draining home but the 'Minuet' have not bloomed since their planting nearly two and a half years ago. They are all within five feet of one another in the same unamended sand! Thoughts? I thought these were quite easy to grow.

I was wondering if you modified you soil? Maybe you could add some good garden soil in the soil around the plants.
