The family Pentatomidae (Stink Bugs).
Possibly the genus Podisus or Thyanta

Xenomorf,
You are in the right family, but I think it looks more like Loxa flavicollis: http://bugguide.net/node/view/88832

Maybe Arvelius albopunctatus or something similar? It has similar spots

I'll admit there are alot of similarities between mine and Loxa flavicollis
But I think the body shape is different

Mine also has a triangle shape protruberance on the back. The shoulder spikes also look differently shaped. Mine also has a dark area on the back on the rear, and has orange margins on the side of the body.

The reason I chose those two genera is because I also have this bug posted up in the identification forum in bugguide.com and here's what they said about it:
I think the body shape resembles Thyanta most of all.

I couldn't find any images of Arvelius albopunctatus or Arvelius sp.

That's the only picture I've found. They're calling it a 'Tomato Stinkbug'. 'Albopunctatus' means white spotted, yours is kind of yellow...
I don't know...

It seems that all of the genera in Pentatomidae look very similar in certian ways. (obviously).
I wonder if there would be any books at my library that would show detailed pictures of them all...
