A beautiful pink. Love it.
It could be a partial single variation on a pink hige that occurs sometimes. Pink Hige can have flowers almost single, partially double and very double on the same vines. Watch and wait and see what more of the blooms look like. It kind of favors a variation I have seen on my pink hige.

This is the one I collected some open pollinated seeds off of and sent to you. You think maybe this is it? Wait and see if it blooms some more double blooms because this one had some that were almost single, partially single and also extremely double on the same vine.
This pattern reminds of the kikyos(even though one is a purpurea and the other is a nil) because they have double and single flowers on the same vines.

ok
Hi Paul,
I though this might be helpful. I remember sending you some open pollinated pink hige seeds. These are growing naturalized on a fenceline by my house. I do not know if they will stay double year after year but I`m fixing to find out. This is the way they came back this year left to open pollinate. The seeds you got were pulled off the same vines as these.
ok thanks
