Carabidae family I believe. Looking for at least a genus, and if I'm lucky a species.
Found in August 2006, in Phoenix, Arizona.
It's about 5/16th of an Inch long

I suppose it could be Harpalus, it certianly looks similar. I looked through those species and didn't see a match. Mine has a light brown area at the rear on the back
