About a half inch wide (wing tip to tip). Look at the spiky back leg, cool.
Bees went around it here on common Milkweed.

CLOSED: Tiny Moth?
Nice! Probably in this genus of Plume Moths:

Andy,
I agree with claypa, that this is Himmelman's Plume Moth (Geina tenuidactyla): http://bugguide.net/node/view/22668/bgpage
We have very few plume moths in BugFiles so far, so I have created an entry for Geina tenuidactyla here: http://davesgarden.com/bf/go/4732/
I hope you will add your image to it,
Kennedy
Outstanding photo!!
Thanks everyone. This was the first time I have seen this little guy.
I'm finding the common Milkweed to be a magnet to 'new' bugs, it can stay, lol.
Kennedy, thanks for setting up the file. This image is now in there.

That is the coolest picture. What kind of camera do you have? Did you zoom, or what?
Sheanie, Thanks. I have a basic Fuji digital that came with a nice Macro lens. No zoom here, I put the lens about 3 - 4 inches away and snapped lots of shots, got 3 OK ones. Then played in PaintShop to 'clean' them up.
