Phicks you have got the GREEN THUMB. From tuber to bloom in one season. Okay, now did I put a name on the bag on the tuber or is it an "unknown."

The great things about Phicks besides his wit and sense of humor is that he experiments.

I do hope you show the folks how you started lotus seeds.

Here is a picture of two lotus seeds. The nice fat one should produce a plant the skinny shriveled one is Joan Rivers hahaha. Anyway, the skinny won't produce.

I gotta dash, but I'll tune in later.

Hi Deb! (neighbor to you!)

Don't you just love those lotus? We're running low on blooms,
but have a few more to go.

Here are Rosea Plena and Mrs. Perry D. Slocum recently:

Okay, Phicks I'll try to save you a seed from the pink one.

Hi Wuvie you done good honeychild. Tell us all about how you got started growing lotus. Where you got your plants from. What worked. What didn't work. I wouldn't mind a start of your Rosea Plena.

Speaking of seeds and seed pods. I have had pods that had all skinny non productive seeds

Okay, the name on the tiny lotus is 'Sunrise Bowl.' The friend who gave me the start got his from Water's Edge In Lawrence, Kansas. You can google and find their website.

The IWGS has a booklet called "The Lotus: Know it and Grow It" I got through all 47 pages Lily_Love and it pretty much said the same things I told you about why a lotus might not bloom. Their website is www.iwgs.org. Another website that I've visited in the past is www.victoria-adventure.org. It was really good.
