Wow, isn't that neat! :) Does it have a name? (All my lilies have names, they just seem to be wrong most of the time. :) LOL

no name, I call it Johns yellow turkscap, since I got it from my friend John. LOL.
Last fall gave me hundreds of lilies. I find new ones opening every day. What a neat garden surprise! This ones is next to the yellow one.

Theresa, if John gave you hundreds of lilies and if it isn't much trouble for you we would like to see more of them. In fact there is no such thing on this forum of too many lilies!

finally, for your viewing enjoyment, my peruvian daffodil, sometimes called peruvian lily.

I want to get one of those peruvians! I think they are so pretty. I like to find things that everyone in the neighborhood doesn't have. Not hard here though. Not many around here plant flowering plants!!

All the photos look great! My Triumphator just opened yesterday!

Theresa,

Your lilies are delightful! How did you get the Puruvian Daffodil to bloom so early? Did you start it indoors?

Saint Bonifacius, MN(Zone 4a)

Those Peruvians have really hardy bulbs. A friend of mine knew I was half-way keeping a watch out for them, and found she had forgotten some stuffed away in the basement. That was June 15. She gave them to me, and boy have they come up robustly!

Marine City, MI(Zone 5a)

I started mine in my portable greenhouse around the end of March. This was my first time trying them. They are awesome!!! They smell really good too.
I also have voodoo lilies and dragon lily. Wow, those are neat looking too. I too like the unusual. Some of my more unusual plants for my area are edelweiss, smoke bush, a failed attempt to grow harry lauder from a cutting, boo hoo, curly willow, petasites, ginger.
Happy gardening!
Guess what this flower is???
