Does this look like SOH? If it is not then it will show people what Scarlett OHara isn`t.

This is a color comparison of three flowers. The one on the far right does have purplish tones and a lightening in the center expanding to the folds.

The one on the far left is magenta as can be in person but my camera is not representing the color of these like I saw them this morning.

The one on the right is some kind of akatsuki large flower variety.

The color is poorly represented by my digital camera because there is nothing suggesting purple (in real life)in the last picture.

I think they're all great pix.

From what I understand though, the Scarlett O'Hara mg is a solid red(ish), with no color variation in the throat - supposed to be solid all the way thru.

So, this is a SOH Not. This one was in a mix.

I have another Burpee one I grew out that is a obvious even to me is a SOH Not because it has a white tube and throat. This flower picture is dark because it was in a shady in the AM spot.

Maybe I should have called this thread SOH Not :)

I have another commercial SOH on the way... or SOH Not on the way!

I've been thinking of getting some Burpee SOH, just to see how they turn out. I've also been thinking of getting some from other sources (ebay, etc), but I've noticed that some are using the same pic as Burpee - so it'll be a gamble as to which turn out the way the picture shows.

At that point, I'll contribute to either of your threads - SOH, or SOH Not!
