Took these last year, never got a great shot of it.
CLOSED: Bee or fly?
Al, it looks like an Eristalis, a Hoverfly in the Family Syrphidae. Flies have eyes not at all like bees, male eyes are together, female eyes apart.
I have entered 3 different ones which are quite different if you know what to look for.
