This little guy was hang out around my front door this morning. Would love to post these picture in the bug files just dont know who she/he is. I know nothing about bugs, can you help?

gg, that would be a Common Green Darner, Anax junius, probably a female. They have the unique bull's-eye on their forehead.
I agree that the dfly in question is an Anax junius, but it is more likely a male. See this link:

Maybe, but the abdomen on the females and immature males is a dull brick-red to violet red with an amber wash in wings, and the eyes are brown. This looks like a female to me.
