I am totally re-doing my backyard and have some nice lillies I need to move. They won't get replanted until next spring. If I wait until they die down can I put them in pots for the winter? I live in Michigan so I suppose leaving them in the garage is out of the question, although I do have a daylily in a pot that spends every winter in the garage and it does fine. I also have a cool, very dimly lit room in my basement where I over-wintered my brugs so would that work? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Can My Lillies Be Saved?
They need about 12 weeks of cold temperatures. You can replicate nature using a refrigerator. However, if the lily in your garage does okay there, the rest should also do okay.
Thanks for the reply beaker_ch.
