Best treatment for that is a course of acupuncture.

Resin you are far too funny!
Remended me of my youth though... being a boy we went round punching people at school saying it was "icanpunchyah" and then tried charging them for the privelege! lol
Hey it was funny when i was 12.

Good one Resin LOL
Maybe sooty mould from when i smoked...
Back to big rain for a second... has everyone seen some of these places keep re-flooding!... crazy...
I'm not a very keen on the flood relief money only going to people with no insurance though... I understand the people with no insurance are the ones that are worst affected and probably have the least... but thats unfair to the people who have struggled and made a good life for themsleves got insurance and this happens! That would mean the person next door who can't be bothered to work could be better off..... crazy world!
Seems reasonable to me - a lot of those people may not be able to afford the rip-off insurance rates through no fault of their own, if they're disabled and can't work, or elderly and been retired a long while. The insurance industry has a lot to answer for - the typical assessor turns up in a car that cost more than your house, and wearing a suit that cost more than the entire contents of your wardrobe. And the insurance company boss is on a £5m salary plus £10m in perks and share options. If the insurance companies weren't such thieving b*******, there wouldn't be so much misery.
Resin
I know what you mean about insurance companies that rip you off. But house insurance is quite cheap in relative terms. Now that the likes of tesco and direct line have come into the Market prices are being hammered down all the time.
With the way insurance companies work nearly anyone can sell insurance so i think more will come into the market if there is big bucks to be made in the long term. Its a massively risky business and pays huge returns if it works but you can loose alot too.
I think this year alot of insurance companies won't be paying much in the way of share options and bonuses.
Did i hear someone say it would cost insurance companies 140 billion to pay out? They won't get much of that back from my monthly premium! lol

If that's what they're saying, they're lying. The estimate of the total cost given on radio 4 news was £2 billion.
Resin
I listen to radio 4 too. i think the media might over hype some bits to bigger head lines. I deffinetly heard higher than 2 billion.
Still wouldn't get 2 billion out of my road if it flooded.
I work with many families who have no insurance and I do sympathise with the majority of them. I agree that in some cases lack of insurance is perhaps negligence as I do visit homes that have massive big TVs etc and it appears to be a question of personal priorities however, on the flip side, I do work with many Mums who are trying to re build a home with very little after marital breakdowns , or very young Mums trying to get a first home together, they have so very little and are struggling to even get the basics for their homes. Even the secondhand clothing and furniture that I get donated is very important to them so I can understand where insurance is low on the list.Much of their household contents are old and shabby anyway and insurance premiums on many of the estates is very high due to vandalism and breakins and I doubt that anyone envisaged a flood as there has never been one in many of those areas in those folks liftimes.
So it is a difficult question as to wether it is their own fault or not, I try to be open minded on this one.
I can see there are the "forgotten" people who do need help. I tend to have seen and heard the type with the sky dish and flat screen tv complaining they have lost everything.... its unfortunate that if they do get any help the loud ones that complain the most will probably get the most.
I does make me sick when people demand that the goverment should do things for them... they don't seem to understand that if the goverment pays out its their taxes that pay for it! So basicly they are asking for higher taxes.... i guess they would be the first to complain when tax goes up....
I wouldnt mind if a goverment could spend money wisely! lol
Its like that street that the council wouldnt do weekly bin collections. So they paid a private firm it only cost them £20 a year or something, each. I wonder how much i pay my council to collect my rubbish.......
ahh well.... life is never fair.. which ever run of the ladder you are on!
