CLOSED: Look at this Beautiful Moth!

Alexandria, VA(Zone 7a)

This moth which I have never seen before in my life time in this area, was just planted on my pile of wood that I have on the side of my house.
I gasped when I saw it. How unusual it is.
Can anyone tell me what kind it is? I tried to look it up with no Luck.
I think I found something special! Isnt it amazing..the Black and white pattern on this guy!

The black and white pattern is pretty enough, but they have these crazy blue and orange markings on their abdomens too.

Thank you! Yes, I went to show my husband. (I was afraid it would move, and not to mention I was afraid of it period. But I did move him and noticed the Beautiful Blue on him. I did not know he looked like that underneath.
So, thats what those Furry critters turn into. I always wondered. I see them alot here.

This is the first time I have seen this moth!
Thanks for the ID. I was desperate to know. So exciting to see something so beautiful!

Katrun, your timing was great on this post, I went to Walmart today, I forgot to grow Parsley this year so I resorted to buying a plant. The first one I picked up had this black and white spotted moth on it. I put my decorated plant in the cart and continued my shopping. Hoping the check out person would not spot it and panic. Made it through the check-out and a ride home. He is happy in my garden now.

Thanks for an easy ID !

I don't know, I think it's a Blue-Rumped Wood Pile Moth. Sorry, couldn't resist...
