why do I get all the monster bugs? what IS this? Second one I've found. First was out in the barn and this one was in my shade garden.

Thank you Claypa! found it off that site which lead me back to DG! It's a prionus laticollis, "Broad-necked Root Borer" and looks like it's a she and she's pregnant. Eats my pecan and hickory trees so glad I got her before she laid her 300-500 eggs!
