One of the finest voices that Italy has ever produced. such a beautiful voice, and to be blind. So wonderful for us, so sad for him. I thoroughly enjoyed a full hour of his singing. I even hooked up my 10" Bose speakers to more fully enjoy. What an absolute treat. If you have never heard his voice, please take the time to check the PBS website to see if/when it may be re-broadcast. It will be well worth your time if you can spend an hour listening to quality singing enjoyment.
On top of all he provided, which was superb, he invited Sarah Brightman to sing with him their keynote duet, "Time to say goodbye", at the end of the program. Absolutely the finest piece of music I have ever heard. I have that duet on a CD from many years earlier, but it never sounded so good as what I heard tonite.
I cannot over-emphasize the beauty of the music that Andrea Bottacelli gave us. It was just the most pleasant hour I have spent in many a day.
anybody catch Bottacelli on PBS tonite?
Sorry I missed it, not sure if we get that channel..will have to watch, perhaps they will re-run it..
