This little critter has been helping himself to my veggies. Although coloring is not brilliant, he's still kind'a cute. Any idea what he might be?

I'm no expert, but he looks like some kind of cutworm to me. If so, he's definitely not a "garden-friendly" guest.
I agree, maybe a Variegated Cutworm. If it is, it will have a dark 'W' near the tail end and a light yellow dot on the back of most body segments.
Thanks to you both for responding! I guess I better find the little bugger and let my bearded dragon have aword with it. She'd be most happy to! Let me compare some photos and if it is a cutworm, I'll close this. Thanks again.
