beginner's luck

Vista, CA(Zone 9b)

As I've only been in our home and gardening for less than a year, I'm thrilled that this daybreaker rose I planted this spring if already over 4 feet tall and LOADED with blooms. Must be beginners luck.

Would love to hear your success stories and see pix too!

Peace, alladrm

That is some beautiful rose aladrm. You must have a good source for roses.

I bought it (and a couple others) as little bareroot stubs in Feb or March from Armstrong's breaking my own rule about not buying anything that's not in bloom - otherwise you just never know what you're going to get.

Come on everyone, what are you proud of in your gardens this summer?

alladrm gorgeous....; what is the name of the rose? and what is armstrong? ; this is only my 2nd year so i understand ....:)

The name of the rose is Daybreaker. You can see how it got it's name because it has all the colors of the most beautiful sunrise you've ever seen. Armstrong's is a CA nursery chain - one step above Home Depot I'd say. Nice to hear from TX. Happy gardening.

Peace, alladrm
