'Conca d' Or' one of my favorites of all. This was my cheater pack (planted in Feb. to bloom early) I adore the absolutely HUGE flowers and sweet scent. I could have entire field of these!

This is a NOID, that I call 'Mothers Day', because my kids gave it to me one year. They picked it out themselves. It's cute and it likes its lavender neighbor.

Magnolialover, I just planted Conca last fall. Glad you posted the picture and the excitement, now I can't wait!!!!!

Elegant Lady opened for me this morning....my first lily bloom of the year!

This is 'Black Out'. Tough to capture the true color of these dark lilies.

Oh! 'Elegant Lady' is a wonderful lily. Mine don't look that great this year, but usually I have a bumper crop of that one. They seem to multiply nicely here. The 18 degree cold snap did not do them any good. Don't you love the tropical type fragrance? I have them near our deck, so when I relax and read at night, the fragrance wafts through the air. It's a sure sign of summer.

I think this is or was suppose to be 'Tinos'. It's lovely, either way. Have to wait for a few more in this area to open up to know for certain.
It must have been in that mismarked pack I bought from Jungs. I have the real 'Tinos' in the garden somewhere. Yes, yes, yes...the year of the mismarked lily.

My first bloom on 'Angela North'. A big fan of those North Hybrids.

These are gorgeous. Angela North should start opening for me in the next few days, and I can't wait. In anticipation, I painted a bench last week to match her! This is Eurydice.

It is Angela! Another mismarked item. I hope I have Karen somewhere in my beds.

This one is the Cocker's 'Eric'. Multiplied nicely in my garden over the winter. It was a nice surprise, as I had no memory of what it would look like.

'Tiger Babies' is sure a tough one for me to get a nice photograph of. I have it in a few places and in full sun, I have 14 buds on a second year bulb. Soft fragrance, very peachy color.

Three cheers for your three tiers, jmorth.

All beautiful. I love the deep color on Angela North. Glad you posted Tiger Baby. I was trying to remember the name of this one and that's it. It's one I've had around for a few years and never got it labeled.

jmorth, do you think this is Pink Perfection? I know I ordered a PP once and when this one bloom did not think it matched the photo in the catalog, but it does seem to look like yours. I had decided this was Lilium Regale. What do you all think?

Lincoln, you captured 'Tiger Babies' quite well.
BTW, the above might not be 'Eric'. Perhaps I should be stating NOID, next to each lily photo, cause now that I am trying to keep track, I'm having an even worse track record. As I say, I do love all of those lilies, name or no name.
I still can't believe what HUGE flowers the Conca d'Or has. It stands out in the garden. So my craziness in scaling an entire bulb las Feb. may be just what I need...a bumper crop of Conca.

Magnolialover, are you still crying? This should cheer you up-- my North seedling from last year is back. I will try doing crosses again with the other North seedling.

I really like Conca d'Or too. Most of my lilies are at least several weeks from blooming, but I have a couple to post.

A repeat of one of my seedlings from last year. This year it has two stems! Notice that it is one of those fuzzy bud types...

Another from Ed's Special Blend from last fall's PNWLS sale. Each nectary has a little slash of yellow at the tip. Did anyone else order these? They were sold for $7 for a bag of 5 bulbs. Out of the five I got just the two types-- 3 of one and 2 of the other.

Oh how beautiful you guys!!!! I was tied up working on my brother's computer tonight and didn't even get to wander about in my gardens at all. But, I get to live vicariously through your gardens tonight! :) Beautiful, just beautiful! ;)

Oh pard, your blooms are gorgeous. No, I'm not cryin' anymore. There are worse things in life than lily troubles ( and I knew that then too). Your epsom salts seemed to help a lot. That bed I dug is doing pretty well now. I will post them as they come up. Glad I didn't ditch this gi-hugic monster 'Golden Stargazer'...it may have beautified the dump. Whew! That was a close one.
Oh yeah....I've found all sorts of uses for epsom salts (tomatoes, roses) Thanks for the tip.
Your seedlings make me smile, as does the thought of your potential North Cross this summer. Here's to good pollination and good seed-makin'.

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

lincolnitess,
I do agree your trumpet certainly resembles mine, especially the tallest tier thereof. As far as correct label, my assumption is based on some DGer's response to an inquiry I posted two or three years ago.
Image is different angle that shows the pink/pur coloration better.

Jnorth, I bet that smells like heaven.. :) Beautiful. I need more trumpets in the garden...

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

Indeed, the fragrance is a sultry one. It permeates the surrounding area.

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Ooooh, yes, I must have more... I'm going to be so broke....

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Thanks Jnorth. They do look a lot alike. I have some that were suppose to be Midnight that also look almost the same. Guess I will just put them all into the NOID known group and just enjoy them.

Here's a pic of the throat on Pink Perfection

Oh, that's nice... :)

Mine is certainly not that pink Moby. Think maybe they are just Regales.
