CLOSED: Can anyone identify this bug?

Huntsville, TX

Can anyone idenify this bug? It looks almost like a crawfish from the front, but the back is sort of like a grasshopper. They are living in rice hulls that we used on our property for landscaping purposes.

I'll take a shot at this one. Please bear in mind I could very easily be wrong. I'll put my money on a mole cricket. I'm looking forward to reading what other people will say.

Mole Cricket...not sure which species...but we've got a couple folks here that can tell us.

As they say: in for a penny, in for a pound. I'll now venture a species:

Adult southern mole cricket, (Scapteriscus borellii) Giglio-Tos known until recently as S. acletus Rehn and Hebard). Those entomologists love modifying taxonomy.

But I'm really pushing my luck here and remember that I could very easily be wrong. Again, I'm anxious to see what more knowledgeable people will say.
