Here is the stem....lots of buds to develop.
This is Mrs R. O. Backhouse, a martagon hybrid. Very thick substance. The only other lilies that are even getting close are some L. pumilum 'Golden Gleam' and L. pumilum. My season won't be in full swing until early July.

I love that lily! I bought it this spring, planted it and don't expect it to show for another year or two....for now, I get to enjoy yours..... Beatiforous!

It is thick enough to get a real mouthful too...I'm not sure it would taste very good Moby!

Magnolialover....mine is, I think, a last-year planted bulb. I had one in the same place from the year before (making 2), but its flowers were lighter. Of course it could be that last year's is sulking and this is a 2nd year for the other and it is just shifting its color slightly.
