CLOSED: Found on satsuma citrus tree.

What is this creature? It was found on the branch of a satsuma orange tree in lower Alabama, gulf coast region. It is 0.75 inch in length. The markings are very bright green and yellow, white, and brown. Could not find ID from information on Internet or in the few books we have.

Oh ya they can sting. We call them pack saddles for some reason. They love to eat our carn. I NEVER go to pick corn w/o gloves and a long sleeve shirt. Wish I had taken pics of the sting my son had. Nasty nasty bugs
