June 14 Lily Blooms

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I think this is Lilium 'Cathedral Windows'. It came in a bag of mixed brushmark lilies.

This little pink one came in the same bag. Anyone have a name for it?

Claude Shride with a big THANK YOU to Lilydigger. However, I hope they get taller. When they're short like this, it's hard to get a pic.

Butter Pixie that's not so pixie. The stems are going about 20 inches and I'll need to move them from the very front this fall.

Another difficult color to capture when the sun is out.

Orange Pixie that is staying pixie-esh. Another one I had a problem with the color. Either washed out or too dark. I think I'll start taking pics later in the day.

I know I've posted Madrid before, but they are really putting on a show right now.

These are beautiful. Claude Shride is stunning.

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

First ones for me.
I don't keep track of names so, no name.
This one is in "Grandma's Garden", at least that's what the grandkids say. It's near their swing set & sand box, so every once in a while they get in trouble with Grandma.

This is the same, I think, in the big rock garden.

Nice! Your first one is Lollipop and the 2nd one.... looks like an oriental but it would be an awfully early one.

One of my Asiatic seedlings that you all saw last year... Unfortunately Moby's Donut is a no show. Hope I didn't lose it.

No, not the Donut! Curses!

I think Fairest and Maribelle could almost be twins.

Yes, I fear the Donut may be gone.. *sniff*. Actually I have quite a few no-shows. The few I dug up to see what was going on were just sitting there, on vacation. Maybe it was our very wet winter and early spring.

Those two do look similar don't they. They just differ by a shade.

Bernie, you second one looks like ' Miss Birma' , an early oriental, mine is almost out and it is a short one too.
Nice lilies, all, thanks for sharing them.

Dayton, KY(Zone 6a)

Hello, can I post one? This is the OA 'Fancy Crown' with first flowers open today.

My Trumpet 'Golden Splendor' opened yesterday but when I went to get a picture this morning, I found out that someone walking by my front yard (city lot) decided to make themself a cut flower arrangement from my patch of GS! They got my neighbors lilies too! Grrr.....

Grrr! If people only knew the trouble we go to for our lilies. mgh had the same problem in Oregon last year ~ I suggested razor wire. So sorry for you. :(

Beautiful Fancy Crown though!

Yes, lilydaydreamer, I know exactly how you feel. I was so frustrated with it last year that I put a net over all my lilies in that patch and nailed it to the ground. Then we went to Europe for 2½ weeks! LOL I didn't get to see them bloom, but at least no one else got to pick them from my yard! LOL I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that no one will take them this year.....I think the culprits have moved, but I'm not sure. I think I might just go pick them as they bloom and then I will at least get to enjoy them in the house.

Thanks for you condolences, at least they only took what they could reach over the iron fence - it could have been worse! I did find one lone unopened bloom remaining on my 'Golden Splendor' -sigh..one is better than none and I still have the plants. I am glad the thief did not know that I have several 6+ ft tall Trumpet 'Pink Perfection' ready to bloom in the backyard!
