I have some in the fridge from a co-op that I couldn't really get out of. I've kept them in the fridge on newspaper for a month or so now. They had growth (about 1 inch) and have held at that. No signs of rot or mold. Would it be ok to pot them up this late in the season? I mean, I guess it couldn't hurt since I have them already but I guess I was wondering how they might perform...
Too late to plant asiatics?
I would plant them in the ground now. Even if they fail this year, they would likely reset over winter and come back and bloom normal time next year. I planted Orientals very late one year and while the stems died that year, they came back at the right time and bloomed following year.
Thank you! I thought they might go into shock from the temp change from fridge to 85-90 degrees, but even so I can wait for them to recover until next year=)
