Viburnum for Southern Climate?

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

I would love to find some fragrant Viburnum that can grow and flower in zone9. I have Viburnum odoratissimum but to me it looks and smells like Ligustrum japonicum. Are there any others that will do good here? Thanks for any help!

Unfortunately, I have no experience for you for zone 9 or coastal conditions. I think that I've read about Viburnum tinus being the great but underused viburnum for deep southern conditions. Here's what PlantFiles has to offer:

http://davesgarden.com/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=viburnum&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=tinus&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=genus&images_prefs=both&Search=Search

Lloyd Kenyon refers to 22 different selections, and he grows 15 of them. Dirr refers to 15 different types, none hardy in Athens, GA.

People grow them where I am in the deep south but I don't know the names. Sorry Viburnum aren't really my thing but I do know that will grow in zone 9.
