Good idea, I am going to try the milorganite. I got a cat a few days ago, I will post if he catches any. I read an article about a guy that had a blue herring (large bird) that would catch chipmunks, take them to the swimming pool to drown them and eat them.

Chipmunks
A Blue Heron that eats chipmunks? Why don't ours do that? We have quite a few of them here and they only eat fish, frogs and stuff like that. I need to train them to eat the little rascly chipmunks. That would solve all my problems.

I pass through Gladwin from time to time. Wonderful town. If you ever want to trade, I have many hydrangea Paniculatas for trade. A postage free trade:>).
Gary
Gary, Thanks for the offer. I'm not sure what I would have to trade. I mostly have wildflowers that grow naturally. And lots of weeds. Seems everything else gets eaten as we are in the woods here.
If you like nature, and the woods. You may want to get on some old walking shoes and take a hike through our woods. You are welcome anytime. We give a pretty good 2 cent tour.
cparts our blue h's don't do chippys eather maybe its an aquierd taste.

You know, I never see the Blues on the land, only in the water. When they are on land, they fly away too quick for me to see what they are doing. That would sure be something to see. Chippies are pretty quick too.
I put out a bait pile of bird seed thay stay longer.
Gloria
The darned things are smart. They used to run when I cracked open the window. Now they see me get near the window and run, kicking up the birdseed in the process.
I sit on the deck behinde the hanging plants and rail I don't think thay have cought on yet.!!!!1

Depends on how many times you miss. LOL. If they don't get away, they can't learn.
