OK, I'm very new to bug identification, but I'm trying.
I've got some small hover flies that I'm trying to identify - I think they might be Syphrid Allograpta, but not sure. Would someone please help determine what they are?
This first photo was taken last night, unfortunately didn't get his abdomen, but I think he is a male given the size of the eyes.
The next two photos I'll post are from this morning, and look to be females of the same type.
Of course, I may be totally off-base.
