aphids on roses, going to hurt lilies?
Better yet, kill the apids... :)
Absolutely ~ kill the aphids.
Get 'em aphids!!!!
Do you guys use 'Eight' insecticide to kill aphids? Just curious, since the soap solution doesn't get these aphids around here.
I happened to witness a lady brought her aphid's infestation on her planting to a county's Extension office. The glistering, honey-dew substance cover her entire garden, including her Pecan trees. It's like pouring/spraying bee's honey to cover all the surface of the leaves. Such terrible infestation, but what amount of spray does it take to spray the hold ochard?
For my garden, I've been after the tiny pests since early March. Get them early with whatever you can before it gets out of hand. I hose them down, 1st warning, 2nd I spray them with soap, last ditch effort chemical. Whatever I use, I read the label carefully.
A bad infestation will require chemicals.
Oh yeah, just recently I found my first aphids EVER on the Yuccas ~ black ones. Did a little reading and learned they were the worst kind to get rid of.
They were almost impossible to hose off to I got after them with soapy water. But first I stewed some systemic poison granules in that water. Haven't seen any more, but am keeping my fingers crossed.
