LOL>....no stumps...pleassse....
Then again, I might calmly open the back garden gate, and shop for another vine to replace it.. mabe a DOUBLE Rangoon creeper...
Oh that's interesting about the 3 years....Even though that's about how long it's been for this one, I didn't know if that was standard or not...
Outstanding full sun/ hot sun container candidates Ideas??
Hey they had a vine at Arbor Gate that I had never heard of; I think it was some type of aster vine but I may be mistaken. Anyway when I saw the unusual (at least to me) vine, I thought of you. Did you have any luck with the canary bird vine seeds I sent? I got mine to germinate but then they dampened off and died which pretty much was the story with most of my seeds this past spring.
I LOVE that yellow one... 50.00 is over my budget but maybe they will have some on sale or one will get a chip and they mark it off or something... That is just beautiful
citysilvia...those are gorgeous!!!
They are pretty! I think I might go into making pottery!
sounds like a cool vine Patty. Ironically, the canary vine turned out to be about the only thing I had good luck with.. Would you like one? I have 2 healthy ones, and one struggler. I've already planted 1 in the ground.
Yep I think I might like to try one of the canary vines.
Just now getting back to this thread. Yes Crow I was thinking of a Croton. Just couldn't remember the name at the time. I love mine.
Home Depot has loads of Croton ... 9.95 good size pot. Its just amazing how popular Crotons are here, at home we kept them chopped down ... never even knew what the name of them was until I got here. ... same thing with the Poinsetta.
Renatelynn HD dont mark anything down if its damged...not even their plants. I will be so glad when they finish with that Lowes across the street ... and they start competing with each other. It will be a while before they have any damaged plants tho.:)
well that's a bummer! Guess I will just have to find a mold and make my own.
Adelaine I got a order of Black Jack yesterday from Soules Gardens in Indiana for only 7.00. They have flat rate shipping for 8.50 ...naturally it justified my buying more Hostas. :)
Here walmart has black sedum ..its like four dollars , but it's really small...
Full sun and in pots .... Young Citris trees do great in big pots in the sun, Aloe , Clerodendrums, Yucca, Tomatoes, Peppers, Mexican Sage, pomegranites, firecracker plants, aztec grass, fountain grass, bamboo, society garlic, miniture roses, varius herbs, curry, mint, spearmint, elephant ears, taro, cotton, okra, purple grass, onions, gingers...of course some of these might out grow the pots in time... it seems you have lots of options... I even had a passionflower in a pot for a long time, with a tomato cage tucked into the pot so they could grow around and around...bay laural does well in a pot in full sun also.. i'm trying to remember what else ...
I have Periwinkle in a pot surrounded by Moss Rose and it is doing very well. The Moss Rose drapes over the side, and I rarely have to water them- they can really take the heat.
Ge I havent seen Moss Roses in long time...They are colorful and can really take the heat. I would like to find some of those big ones.
manic....i thought elephant ears are suppossed to be in shade?
Yeah ... and I forgot that ...I planted four Ok this calls for another tree. :)
The rain have just about killed everything that I planted in the ground so all I have are container plants. Tropical Hibiscus, Datura, Brugs, Cuphea, Shrimp plant (though it likes it better under the arbor, so not full sun), ice plants, kalanchoe, basket plant, some verbena around the hibiscus, some variegated Turks cap still in nursery containers (does that count?).

my ee's that are in the shade lean toward the sun
