Interesting cotyledon...looks like the one's from the plantfile:

But looks to be a much darker pigment.

HI Beth - Glad to see that germinated...
The cotyledon in the photo looks like it has reddish pigmentation along the main veins,but the overall color looks pale beige(?)...is the cotyledon exposed to bright light(?)...
Wondering if there was any numerical ID attached to the seed description(?)...
The main aspect is that the seed did actually sprout(!) and once again I'm very glad to see the new young seedling...
Looking forward to any and all updates on the continued development

Ron, I think this one said "I. hederifolia MEXICO" on the bag and I don't recall there was a number...but I am keeping all the empty baggies just in case I need to refer back. The seedling is outside and in full light.
