CLOSED: ID needed please.

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

We were in a beach front restaurant on the Boliver Peninsula near High Island, Texas yesterday when I spotted this strange looking grasshopper type insect. I had very long antenna, twice as long as it's body. The body was about one inch long. It was on the outside of our window seat.

Well for starters, I can tell you it's a Katydid, in the Family Tettigoniidae. That doesn't narrow it down much, but it's a start.

That was my first thought but it has no hump on it's back. I have never seen one without a hump.
