Hi -
Wandering in my garden this morning I found this guy on my Gerber Daisy. Any ideas on what he may be?
Thanks in advance....

Wendy ..
It looks to be one of a variety of 'cutworms' .. and at any # of various 'stages'.
I found many cutworms munching the dickens out of my zinnia blooms, last year. (Naturally, I took to squishin' the dickens out of 'em also!) .. lol ..
Most likely, it's one of these guys > http://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=cutworm
* There's several images to load ..
This caterpillar bears a striking similarity > http://bugguide.net/node/view/44117
Sorry, that I can't assist in reducing the bug 'Family' down any further, tho'. Perhaps someone else will be able to ..

Thanks - I will mark this thread as solved, because that is what I thought he was also. I went out to look for him but he was gone. Hopefully he moved away or he will get a squishin!
