UGH, i just had to throw away about 7 house plants. my ivys were dying, and i thought i saw the dust on their leaves, so i sprayed them with mist of water, and saw the webs... so i checked the nearby plants...SAME. UGH.
i know there is a spray. but i guess i got grossed out and tossed them all, i've wiped down the blinds and wall where the plant was hanging, but i don't want to get new plants until i'm sure they are gone. id like to get a mite spray to spay the plantwatering can as well as the window blinds.
anysuggestions on which mite spray works well? thanks everyone! Stephanie
Spider mites!!!
I have the same problem. I threw out 3 plants. I posted my problem on Beginner Houseplants, and and received alot of responses. I then went to my garden center and they sold me a powder called Systemic Granules that is to be mixed into the soil. I haven't tried it yet. they told me to take the plant outside and hose it down good and mix this with the soil. I hope this helps you. I know how I dread it when I see those webs forming.
