That squash article was very interesting and weird.
some uses : blending squash into floor polish, she added some yellow squash into her sheetrock putty to give it a lemon yellow tone so it would match the paint in order to repair some nail holes, squash facials, that lady is planning on mixing tomatoes and squash together to achieve a natural tanning agent, a squash concoction as a hair straightener but hair is stiffer but adds a golden highlight, Weird stuff.
AFter pollinating the 5 segment, i closed it up and tied it shut with string.
I cut the pumpkin up and was goin to make pies and breads but it was too bitter. Unripe.
Nasty Nasty. URK.
My husband took pictures of me cutting it up but he did not set the camera for PC pictures and i have to figure out how to make them smaller before i can post them. (new camera software)
The 5 segment female was pollinated with 5 large male blooms.

Looks great! I love that little tool -- one right-click and there you have a smaller copy in the same directory. It's so handy.

July 30th. Pollination Day : 1114 Lishness plant. 5 segment female= 5 1/2"cc.
4 segment female = 4 3/4"cc (side to side circumfrence because the blossom is in the way) It's not practical to measure during the first several days but I have a bad habbit of measuring everything at all times.
