Let's see your garden!

I am not sure, Lou - but it looks like a double - very pretty daylily!! Maybe someone here can ID it. Congrats on the blooms finally!

Miss Magnolia, blooming beautifully this afternoon.

This graced us with an appearance yesterday, but didn't have time to post it. It's another mystery daylily that came with our house when we moved it. It's the first time it's bloomed in the 3 years we've been here.

Here's a cross-yard view of the lattice garden and, behind it, the rose garden (blinded by the light of the sun), with the Golden Retriever supervising. What *would* I do without her expert direction?

Mr. Hibiscus bloomed this morning. These blooms are as big as a salad plate.

So pretty, Susannah!! And look at all the other buds it has on it, too! WOW!

A friend saw some of these photos (she's in Minneapolis), and wrote "Man -- is it Eden down there or what?"

Between the huge magnolias and the hibiscus, we're looking to her like Garden Central. Now in July, when my Dallas flowers are gasping, faint of heart, and Minnesota's blooms are upstanding and perky ... it'll be a whole different sonnet.

I don't think it gets as hot in Eden as it gets here in TX in August! LOL

My salvias are doing great after all the rain and these cupheas in front of them are going nuts. They've only been in the ground a month or so. I did see a few mealy bugs a couple of weeks ago on the salvia guaranitica, but sprayed with the alcahol/water/soap mix and they're history. So glad Frostweed told me about that!

Oh, that is so pretty! Wow. Lovely color and texture there.

WOW! The salvia and Cuphea look FANTASTIC together! I love it!

Thanks y'all. I'm pretty pleased with the garden right now. I've just put in more daylilies and I can't wait to see what these new ones look like when they bloom. So far, all my supposedly pink ones are more peach than pink. Maybe some of this group will be true pink.

HI all,

Since this thread is getting quite long and taking a long time to load even for cable internet users like me (!! - must be terrible for dial-up users), I thought continuing it on a "Part Two" thread might be a good idea. Please keep posting your pictures and comments! Link below:
