Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Thanks to Clare.
Azzie?

Tucson, AZ

azzie = aztec gold

hmmm...i thought that was the cutting i sent. now i can't remember. LOL never mind...

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

I don't remember it being marked but in my rush to get them potted I may have not included the marker. Sorry. It's one of those pots there on the side of my house.

Tucson, AZ

oops! it was a Y branch of celadine. like i said earlier, no worries mate! LOL

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Ok, I'll figure out which one it is and mark it...Aztec Gold, right? Or can I name it Detrick's gift to Weeg?!!?

Tucson, AZ

nope, it is Celadine.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Oh, ok.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Oooooh, it's pretty!

New Port Richey, FL(Zone 9b)

Weegy,That's what I call fitting alot of nice stuff into a small space.I can't wait to see that same space in a few month's.It's going to be good. Don It looks like even room for a barrel stay.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

I'm slowly moving the cactus out for more plumeria but yes it is a bit crowded. Can you believe that I gave away almost half the cactus that was there?

Tucson, AZ

weegy, for shame! LOL

my queen of the night (the true queen - haha!) will bloom next month. absolutely breath-taking. now put that fragrance in a plumeria and i'll by a gazillion of them.

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Louise - "giving away cactus?" OMG - say it ain't so!! LOL Your Cannas are coming up for me now...yippeee...thank you again!! Look at you with your plumie blooms now!!! So happy for you!!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Chantell, did I hear you say you want cactus???
No tuscon, I am the real queen!

Tucson, AZ

weegy - too funny! hmmm...you are definitely the iris queen in my book. however, my peniocereus greggii reigns as the queen of the night. actually, i don't think you'd want that title. LOL

dete

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Ahhh, no I do not do street corners!

Tucson, AZ

not exactly the clientele going after iries! LOL

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

Ah-ha! I thought I'd see you over here, Weegy! One of these days I'll try plumerias again - now if I can just get that cactus growing!

Hi Louise! Congrats on your flower! Your plumeria area looks great! That flower will get bigger in size in time. Right now, your plant is a small just-rooted cutting, but with a little maturity, everything will be bigger, including the flower size. I have that one too, and here's a picture of it below.

I see your big one that we talked about that got damaged in the freeze. Look at the very base of the tree and feel to see if it feels firm. It looks a little dark at the base of the trunk, but the mid-section looks good. you might have to cut and re-root if your base is rotting. Maybe I am seeing things in the photo. If it feels firm and looks the same color as the trunk, it should be fine.

It looks like your big one is pushing out new branches at the tips so that is a good sign. I don't think it looks too crowded. This is too crowded! LOL!

Louise,
LOL re cactus...sadly I have so many, rare is it that anyone has anything that i don't already have. Pretty bad, eh?

OMG, Clare...LOOK at your babies!!! How's that kitty doing?

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

LOL, Chantell. That is only part of my collection;-) Buddy is great. Thanks for asking:-)

And my neighbors think my bitty yard/deck/porch are full of plants....hmmm...me thinks not!!! LOL

Tucson, AZ

someone on plumeriapals said that they brought 700 cuttings back from hawai'i during their last visit. i got sick to my stomach when i read that and saw the pics. and i thought i was overboard with my heard. me thinks not, too!!! LOL i'm after penange peach then that's it for me. haha! i have some that i need to get rid of. i'm only after quality lei flowers.

Now getting rid of some plumies that's a whole different story...let me know if you need someone willing to adopt some, please.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Oh here to Chantell! Dete, throw some our way!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Clare, the big one that got hurt in the freeze is firm from top to bottom. Just not leafing yet. Did you notice the way I cut it? At an angle, is that the right way. I'm being very patient with it but my patience is wearing thin!

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Oh, Louise, I thought it was the big one right by the hose in the terra cotta-colored container. That tip on the left looks a bit damaged, and I was talking about that base being dark. The one farther down with the cut tips looks good. Yes, cutting at an angle is the right way. Pushing out new branches takes time so patience is definitely needed. Don't worry -- they will come.

Dete, it sounds like Danny is in business for himself and is selling those cuttings. I think 700 sounds excessive too.

Tucson, AZ

clare, for be it from me to judge excessiveness when i comes to plumies. LOL my friends already think i treat my "few" plumies like my children. i assured them that i wouldn't put my real children out in full sun during the summer unless they had a pool in which to swim. haha!

chantell and louise - the plumeria too big to ship at a reasonable cost. i'm leaving them for the locals.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

I'm moving to Tuscon!
Thanks Clare, I'm sorry I didn't make that clearer, actually the one by the hose is doing well, maybe a shadow?

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

*sniffle, sniffle* I'm moving with Louise - my cactus collection would like it there better any-who-how!!

Tucson, AZ

yea! irises and more cacti on the way to arizona. oh yeah, and let's not forget louise and chantell. haha! ugh...chantell make sure you don't bring the cold weather. LOL

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Chantell we'll be roomates! I get the big bedroom!
