I tried looking these up by their common name, Pixie Tangerine, and the search engine never heard of them. They are a small, virtually seedless, sweet tangerine that resulted from some sort of cross-breeding. I want to grow at least one tree in my yard if they do OK in northern California. I haven't been able to find any information. The ones I bought recently at Trader Joe's were grown in San Jose, CA, 10-20 miles south of me.
I have to say that the search engine on this web site (Dave's Garden) leaves a lot to be desired. I don't have a clue as to "family" or "genus" or "species" or whatever. Mostly all I know is a valid common name, and I never find what I want. Haven't found an answer even one time so far. (I've been a paying subscriber since July 2006.)
