What a Super Day!

Temecula, CA(Zone 8b)

hiya guys,

Just thought I might show a pic of me done by the famous Andy Warhol.........just kidding.

Just a quick note to thank all of you who attended this year's DGRU at our ranch. The entire bunch made the experience of a third hosting of this event a real honor and a distinct pleasure. Pam and I are both grateful to all of the great organizational work done by SoCal, Weegy12 and TwinLakesChef and are truly honored by all of the long-distance travelers like Kassia, Kachinagirl, HaroldS and Wife, roadrunner, Zuzu, maggiemoo, balvenie, TwinLakesChef, and, of course, dave who really made this a roundup to remember with his gracious, patient attendance.

Thanks to all of you for so much joy and for tolerating our doggies all day. We are both overwhelmed with the great generosity of food, good spirit, and great fun. Pam and I thank you all again for making this a truly memorable experience.

take care and we'll see you in the gardens next year,
don

Don, I am most impressed by the number of plants that have labels. That takes real effort and is so helpful for visitors.

Well someone was having a bit of fun with photoshop weren't they? Either that or your face has decided that it's going to rebel and go flying off which could account for the slightly crazed expression on your face.

Anyways, this is Fiona just wanting to express my gratitude and excitement at the proposal of invading your living space for a week during the summer. It is very generous of you to invite me, and I am willing to work my butt off to earn my keep. (believe me, I wouldn't miss the butt) By the way, did you see your dressed up cacti? Yay for cute little cacti in sombreros! I'll probably have more Jethro Tull learned by summer time so you can rock out to that, but let's face it, except for Bolero, It just doesn't sound quite the same without guitar behind it. Especially Cross-eyed Mary, which is a wicked song with an awesome flute part, but it just doesn't sound right.

Anyways. I want to thank you again for inviting me over for the summer and am looking forward to coming. But for now, more boring things like... taking a shower and going to bed...yay...

G'night!

Fiona

hiya George,

Once again you made the event and once again you just made my day with your humor and that terrifying gnome....lol.

The best to you always my friend and let's get that sink thing done soon.

hiya Fiona,

The invitation would have never been extended had you not shown both Pam and I what a truly marvelous young person you are. We both look forward to your visit.

best,
don

Great roundup!

On the way home as I pulled into College Station for a quick bite to eat, I was shocked to see this store in my own town!

hiya Rusty56,

That rose is a floribunda named Sexy Rexy.

Mary (maggiemoo) has just left and now Pam and I have to get back to horsie stuff.

We sure are grateful to all of our guests for making this RU a pleasant memory.

best,
don
